This fantastic log home sits on the south end of AuTrain Lake in a quiet area that is well located for outdoor activities. This home is warm and inviting with its open ceilings and large gathering areas. The kitchen is large with a lot of storage, an island cook top, and dual ovens. The lake is up to 25 feet deep but has substantial terrain on the lake bottom creating great fishing opportunities. The AuTrain River flows in from the south near this cabin and then out the north end of the lake on its way to Lake Superior. The lake has walleye, perch, and pike. Brown trout are regularly encountered in the lake and spring steelhead sometimes are found in the lake during their spawning migrations. The lake and river combine to provide excellent paddling opportunities. The cabin is near ATV trails, snowmobile trails, Pictured Rocks, sandy Lake Superior beaches, water falls, hiking trails, and even a designated cross county ski park. It is about 40 minutes to Marquette and 15 minutes to Munising.
